One weekend while my husband was out of town i did a mini makeover of sorts planned and it turned into me ripping up the floor unplanned. Our upstairs bathroom which is the main bathroom in our house is on the list next for a makeover. I plan on using chalk paint to do the cabinets. Wait about 1 2 hours until the paint is dry before touching it.
From what i read and for what you have posted adding extra coats of water based poly with seal them. However most likely you are not painting over wax and will not need a primer. Note the higher the grit number the finer the sandpaper.
